"Support handled my ticket faster than I expected"
I had to open a ticket for an issue with my server, and I’ll be honest, I usually have high standards when it comes to support response times. I expected to be waiting around for a while, but they got back to me quickly and fixed it without a bunch of unnecessary back and forth. Overall, I’m really happy with how smoothly it was handled.

"Verification took longer than expected"
Signing up was straightforward, but the account verification part ended up being slow and a bit confusing. I had to send in documents and then mostly just wait without many updates, which wasn’t a great first impression. Has anyone else had the same issue with verification taking this long?

"Refund took longer than I expected"
I did get my refund in the end, but it took a while to come through. i think part of it was just bad timing on my end, because it happened around a busy period. Still, the wait was a little frustrating.

"I’ve been using SoyouStart for a while now..."
I’ve been using SoyouStart for a while now, and overall it’s been mostly fine. The server itself does what I need it to do, and I haven’t had any major issues with performance or uptime.
The main thing that’s been frustrating is the billing. Some renewal dates and extra charges aren’t very obvious until you’re already digging around in the panel. I even had my brother look over a couple of invoices with me because I wanted to make sure I was understanding what I was being charged for.
It’s not a bad service, but I do think the pricing details and billing emails could be a lot clearer. If they made that easier to follow, it would feel much more straightforward. For now, I’d give it 3 stars.
"Solid value if you trust your gut"
I’ve been using SoyouStart for a few months now, the price is hard to argue with. I was looking for a basic dedicated server without getting pulled into expensive cloud plans, and my gut told me this was worth trying.
Setup went smoothly enough, and the server has been stable for my small projects so far. Support isn’t the fastest, but I kind of expected that at this price point, and overall I’m happy I trusted my instinct on this one.

"Pretty happy with Soyoustart so far"
I’ve been using Soyoustart for a little while now, mostly after a friend of mine recommended it, and it’s been a solid experience. Getting everything set up wasn’t too complicated, the pricing feels reasonable, and support came through when I got a bit stuck. Haven’t run into any major issues so far, so I’m happy with it.
"Setup was solid, just not instant"
I ordered a server from Soyoustart and overall it went smoothly. It took little longer than I was expecting, so I wasn’t sure exactly when it would be ready, but once it was provisioned everything came online fine. The server matched what I ordered and I didn’t run into any strange issues after setup. Reliable experience in general, I just wish the timing had been bit clearer

"Support was okay, but really slow"
I’ll give them some credit because they did eventually get back to me, but it took way longer than I expected. The support person seemed polite enough, I guess, but the help I got didn’t really solve much. Not the worst experience, but definitely not something I’d be excited to deal with again.
"OS options are fine, but the info could be clearer"
I used So you Start for a small server, and the setup was mostly okay. They do have the usual OS options like Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS/Alma, and a few others, so if you just need a basic Linux install, it gets the job done without too much drama.
That said, I found myself getting a bit annoyed because the communication around some of the options wasn’t very clear. A few images felt outdated, newer versions didn’t seem to show up as quickly as I’d hoped, and the custom install process wasn’t as straightforward as I expected. It’s not awful, but it definitely feels average and could be explained a lot better.

"I ordered a server from soyoustart and..."
I ordered a server from soyoustart and, i wasn’t totally sure what to expect. I kind of assumed I’d be waiting around for a while, but the setup finished quicker than I thought it would.
The login details came through without any hassle, and I was able to get in and start working on it pretty much right away. Maybe I just got lucky, I’m not sure, but it felt smooth enough to me.
I don’t really have much to complain about. Speed was the main thing I cared about, and on that part it definitely did the job
"DDoS Protection Didn't Hold Up"
I was really hoping the DDoS protection would do the job, but I still ended up getting knocked offline. Disappointing, honestly.

"Location didn’t really work for me"
The service itself might be fine, but the data center was just too far from where I am. My ping ended up being rough, so it wasn’t a great fit for what I needed... kind of a bummer.
"Affordable backups that just work"
I went with SoYouStart mostly because the backup options looked decent without pushing the price too high. Setup was straightforward, and when I accidentally messed up my server, restoring the files was easier than I expected. For what I’m paying, I’m happy with it so far.

"Flexible contracts made things really convenient"
I’ve been happy with Soyoustart mainly because I’m not stuck in some long-term contract. For my smaller projects, that makes a big difference since I can keep a server running when I need it and stop when I don’t. The setup was okay, not totally perfect, but nothing that caused me any real trouble — and the billing was clear enough to follow. The flexibility is really what stands out for me, and it’s the main reason I’d give them 5 stars

"I tried Soyoustart for a small game server..."
I tried Soyoustart for a small game server, and the performance was all over the place. Some days it would run totally fine, then out of nowhere we’d get these ridiculous lag spikes and people would start dropping or leaving the server.
Support told me everything looked normal on their end, but it definitely didn’t feel like an issue on my side. For the price, I guess it’s okay, but I expected the hardware or network to be more consistent. Not the worst service I’ve used, but I’m not renewing

"Decent network, just a bit hit or miss"
Overall it works fine most of the time, but I do get random lag here and there. I’m not totally sure, but it feels like it might happen more when a lot of people are online in the area. Nothing terrible, just not always as steady as I’d like

"Scaling works, but it’s not totally seamless"
The servers have been fine overall, at least from what I’ve used so far. Scaling up does work, but it feels a bit limited and not as smooth as I expected. Maybe there’s a better setup I haven’t tried yet, but it took more manual effort than I thought it would.

"The server itself was fine, but I got..."
The server itself was fine, but I got frustrated when I hit the bandwidth limit way sooner than expected. After that, the speed dropped off a lot and it just felt kind of disappointing. Not exactly the experience I was hoping for

"Actually stable so far"
I've been using it for a little while now, and the uptime has actually been solid. No major issues so far

"Old, slow server and no real help"
The server felt like it was from another era. Everything was slow, and disk errors kept popping up like they always do with these kinds of setups. I reached out to support expecting them to swap the hardware or at least do something useful, but they just dragged it out and wasted my time. Frustrating experience overall.
